Cooling Tower PVC Film Fill Material (60,000 cubic yards)
Anti-fouling film type fill is selected for its resistance to fouling and is the same design fill used by Progress Energy’s Crystal River nuclear power plant in its once-through seawater service cooling towers. The cooling water falls through the fill from the distribution system to the tower basin where the liquid boundary layer is broken up by the splashing over numerous corrugations along the way. The fill design will not be deleteriously affected by the neither the existing river water constituents nor by proposed water treatment chemistry. In addition, SPX has provided a 5-year fouling warranty associated with this installation.
